Welcome to LocalZakat. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of localzakat.com and its services, including making donations and creating or supporting fundraising campaigns. By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with these terms.

2. Definitions

  • Website: https://localzakat.com
  • User: any visitor to the Website, including donors and campaign creators.
  • Donor: a User who makes a monetary contribution through the Website.
  • Campaign Owner: a User who creates and manages a fundraising campaign on the Website.
  • Fundraising Campaign: a project or initiative on the Website intended to raise funds for a specific cause or beneficiary.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to register or use our services.
  • During registration, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Donations

  • All donations are voluntary, final, and non-refundable, unless otherwise specified in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • When you donate, you authorize Razorpay to process your payment and transmit funds to LocalZakat.
  • You agree to provide valid payment details and understand that any transaction fees charged by Razorpay will be disclosed at checkout.

5. Fundraising Campaigns

  • Campaign Owners must submit a proposal outlining the purpose, funding goal, and timeline of their fundraising campaign.
  • We reserve the right to review and approve or reject any campaign at our discretion.
  • Campaign Owners are responsible for verifying beneficiary identities and providing regular progress updates to supporters.
  • Misrepresentation, fraud, or misuse of collected funds will lead to immediate campaign removal and potential legal action.

6. Refund and Cancellation

  • Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for detailed instructions on requesting refunds or canceling donations.
  • Refund requests must comply with the conditions and timelines outlined in that policy.

7. Payment and Fees

  • All payments on LocalZakat are processed securely through Razorpay.
  • LocalZakat does not charge any platform fees, commissions, or service charges. Every rupee you donate is passed on in full to the designated campaign owner.
  • Any transaction fees (for example, credit/debit-card processing charges, UPI or net-banking fees) are levied by the payment gateway provider and will be clearly disclosed at checkout.
  • We do not store your payment information.
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes or duties on your donation or campaign proceeds.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Website to:

  • Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading activities.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code.
  • Violate intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
  • Harass, defame, or threaten other Users.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned or licensed by LocalZakat.
  • You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only.
  • Any other use, reproduction, or distribution requires our prior written consent.
